AI Backlot — every frame remembers how it was made
The backlot for generative filmmaking.
AI Backlot runs the whole production in one place, from script to signed master. So episode ten still looks like episode one.
From the record
Why — what broke
We ran a studio on folders, a spreadsheet and a group chat.
That works for one film. On a series it falls apart, the moment a lantern from episode one has to come back and nobody remembers how it was made.
People forget
References live in someone's head until they leave the project.
Prompts disappear
One note from above and you're rebuilding a shot from memory.
Clients and studios ask
The law now wants to know what made the footage. EU AI Act Article 50 has applied since 2 August 2026.
Tools multiply
Generate in Higgsfield, build in Weavy, review in Frame.io, file in Google Drive. Every swivel of the chair loses something.
So we built a place where nothing gets forgotten.
Every prompt, seed, model, reference, cost and right, saved the moment the shot exists. Even when the model that made it is gone.
At the door
No source, no entry.
A take that can’t say where it came from never makes it onto the board. So six months later, nobody has to guess.
Pipeline — one path
Nothing moves until someone says yes.
The client or studio exec approves a still, and only then does it get animated. Five sign-offs, three checks, one path for every shot.
Locked character, set or prop
The approved references every later shot has to use.
text-to-image →The approved still
The approver picks it and QA checks it. A bad still turns into a bad take every time, so nothing moves until it passes.
image-to-video →Animated from that frame
Then comp, motion graphics and grade.
The artist’s view
Make four takes. Keep the one.
The references arrive locked from the bible and the key frame has already passed QA. Maya generates, keeps the take that works, and the recipe stays with it.
Five sign-offs, with a quality check before the last three
Script and scene numbers fixed.
The bible is locked.
Stills signed. Generation opens.
QA1 · KeyframesThe cut of record is set.
QA2 · ShotsDelivery and archive open.
QA3 · FinalSaying yes early costs nothing. Changing your mind late costs a signature.
Platform — one memory
Fifteen people. One memory.
Producers, directors, artists, editors, clients and studio execs all work from the same record. The machine suggests, and a person decides.
Compliance — the record
The paperwork writes itself.
Consent when the voice is recorded. Rights when the shot is saved. Provenance when it’s generated. By delivery, it’s done.
Make the series. We'll remember it.
AI Backlot runs every one of our productions.
AI Backlot supports your compliance process. It does not replace legal advice.
